Christmas in Birmingham
Christmas this year was interesting, but still good. We missed the big family festivities, Aunt "Maymels" (Melanie) and "Dadaddy" both had to work on Christmas, and both the kids got sick. The good parts were that we have little Patrick with us this year; we had a Christmas dinner together on Christmas Eve which included Great Grandaddy Moses, Mel's boyfriend Pat and her roommate and fellow nurse Courtney; Mary Clare was very excited about Santa and some really cool baby-care "equipment" from her great grandparents; and we still all got together to exchange gifts on Christmas night. On Christmas day, Mary Clare got a cold and fever, which exacerbated her asthma and made Patrick sick too...plus he got thrush. Luckily, Melanie's boyfriend is a pediatrician, so he called in some medicine and came over to check them out. Our trip ended with a super-fast packing and day-early exit to make a 5:00 doctor's appointment in McDonough! Whew! Now all the Ingrams are puny, as well as Mamamo, and we are nervously monitoring tiny Patrick to make sure he doesn't get worse. But we will be well soon! Merry Christmas!!!

I'm sorry the little ones got sick!! Hannah had thrush too so I know what a pain that is...moreso for you than the baby! Hope all is well on your end. I loved seeing the pictures from Bham! Happy New Year!
