Finally! Some catching up...
So, after almost a month living in Birmingham, here are some pictures of what we've been up to. Things are starting to settle down a bit, finally! We go swimming a lot, and Mary Clare likes to wear her swim vest and tootle around the pool. Patrick has now been upgraded out of Mary Clare's flower float and into his own blue car (with a top! and a horn!) Mary Liz's cell phone also took a dive in the deep end a few days ago (oops). The phone didn't like it's swim (neither did Mary Liz, in her clothes). The kids are enjoying sharing a room, except for those occasional times where one throws a fit while the other is trying to sleep. Everyone around here exercises all the time, so we have invested in a double stroller now...all the excitement and fun things to do take their toll (see Mary Clare asleep on the sofa before dinner). We have finally found some vegetables Patrick will tolerate...he has a bad habit of gagging and throwing up food he doesn't like, namely any jarred baby food that isn't fruit. We enjoy spending time with "Great Grandaddy," eating breakfast together each morning (and most dinners too, of course) and Mary Clare likes it when he reads books in his chair. Mary Clare's new favorite things to do are artwork upstairs while Mommy does her own art, and playing "grocery store" with our once-organized food on our shelves in our room. Patrick loves to jump and roll and scoot all over the place, as well as grabbing anything he can manage to get his hands on and cram in his mouth (try a small plastic lemon from Mary Clare's kitchen...not a good idea!) This habit combined with his quietness is not a good combination to have when he becomes more mobile! We're having a good time, but miss our friends a lot. Come visit us and our 2 rooms upstairs (or, as my sister likes to call it, our "flat"!)

Brendan started gagging up jarred veggies recently too. It's actually kind of funny. We finally gave up and started mashing up real veggies and stuff and he seemed to tolerate that a lot better. Though all he really wants is bread, bread and bread.
