So my kids do NOT like storms...not the chance of a storm, not the distant rumbles, not the rain, and definitely not the tornado sirens and "big thunders." When a stormy night comes along, it means a bad night's sleep for Stephen and me.
Well, okay, really mostly Stephen; and especially the past few nights when I have been knocked out with Nyquil.
It's been a stormy week, and last night was the same. When I woke up this morning, I was in bed alone, but remembered through a Nyquil haze having Patrick's feet digging into my spine, MC at the bedside and Stephen mumbling something about hail.
I checked the floor, where children have been known to sleep, and nothing.
Patrick's bed...empty.
Mary Clare's...also empty.
The house is quiet, where could they be?
Then I check the den...ah, there they are. A pile of Ingrams sound asleep. I woke up Patrick taking the picture.
Thank goodness for Nyquil.
